DVD Decoder install issue - where the application?

AIW 9800 owner with XP.

I installed ATI 3.0.01 decoder as part of a driver update. I followed the
ATI recommended order of installation, including Direct-X 9c.

If I look in Ctrl-Panel Add Apps, it says ATI Decoder is installed.
However, when I try to save a TV download, I get an error message saying
"ATI DVD player is not installed."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Decoder twice - and even tried the old
ver 2.

Where does this application live (what folder)?

Any idea how to troubleshoot or fix this? Thanks!

That's just the decoder so that you can play DVD's using Windows Media
Player without installing a 3rd party DVD player. I think you need MMC
from ATI to get their own player. I've never used the ATI DVD software
though because I have Cyberlink PowerDVD already.

You have to dl a small app(atiCDwiz-v3-0.exe) from the MMC download
page, Ron, which verifies your installation CD (so you need to have
one), and then dls the DVD player (just called setup.exe) and/or
installs it.
