I was checking around for the prices and expected ship dates of the X800 XT
and found this deal. 8P

They must be nuts! Even CompUSA is showing it's cost much lower at $499.
Why would they have such a high price?

Don't know... perhaps they're hoping all their customers are complete
idiots. I sure hope nobody will buy their XT there - it's a sure way to
empty your wallet (or bank account).

Over here in the Netherlands prices for the X800 XT average at some 550 euro
(approximately $680). That's rather expensive compared to CompUSA's $500,
which equals to approximately 423 euros... I wish the XT would be priced so
low over here in the Netherlands, I'd have bought an XT instead of a Pro.

Dunno. They're out of stock anyway, if they ever had stock, and have always
had that price, then thats why they are selling them at that price - 'cos
somebody (or some poeple) got impatient.

My guess is that they did not set a price manually because they didnt know
it yet and the program defaulted to $999.
Strang that other discount online places like Newegg.com list prices about
$90 more than CompUSA. Usually CompUSA cost a bit more, but not for the new
ATI card. They must have some deal with ATI.
