Installed Win 7 on C: (disk 0) which reads healthy (boot, page file, crash Dump, Primary Partition).
Previously had Win 7 build 7100 on same drive. Was able to access disk 1 which was XP.
Following the install there was no system selection screen. Therefore I added, through BCDEDIT the following.
Windows Legacy OS Loader
------------------------
identifier {ntldr}
device partition=D:
path \ntldr
description Windows XP
XP still does not boot. When XP is selected the system reboots and gives me the two choices again. I presume that D: is not recognized as a system disk.
Is it likely that DISK 1 should be marked as system - D:\NTDETECT.COM D:\boot.ini D:\ntldr in order to use the system files?
