128MB 9800 SE or 256MB 9600?

Which of these two cards would be better?

$105 - connect3D ATI Radeon 9600 Video Card, 256MB DDR, 128-bit,
DVI/TV Out, 8X AGP -Retail

$110 - REFURBISHED: POWERCOLOR ATI RADEON 9800SE Video Card, 128MB
DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "R98SE-C3" -RETAIL (OEM,
BAREBONE)

On the one hand, 128MB is kind of small for a new card, but then on
the other, a 9600 might not be able to put 256MB to good use anyway.
Would any other cards in this price range (not much over $100) be
better than either of these two?

The 256bit 9800SE is not a bad card.....double the memory bandwidth, with
core at 325Mhz and memory at 580Mhz effective. The straight 9600 might have
256Mb, but the memory is 128bit and slow at 400Mhz effective. Core is the
same as the 9800SE. Overall, the bandwidth of the 9600 is 6.4gig/sec, but
the 256bit 9800SE is 18.6 gig/sec. Pretty easy choice. Any game that needs
256Mb of video ram to run properly will be a slide show on the 9600.

9500Pro is definitely faster than the 9600, don't know about the 9800SE.
