a domain policy states that users should change password at next logon or
after a certian point in time ( e.g. 90 days ). this works correctly for
win98, NT, & win2K machines, but the winXP machines have to be rebooted an
extra time on the day the password should be changed for the system to prompt
them for a password change. is there any reason for this, or is this a
configuration problem in XP that needs to be specifically addressed ? the
local settings do not have 'password never expires' and all machines are
members of the domain. any info on this (strange) problem would be greatly
appreciated.
