Only Microsoft server OSs (Windows NT server, Windows 2000 server, Windows
2003 server) come with DHCP server software. You can do it in XP
Professional but only with add-on software. e.g.:

yes, you can use a 3rd party DHCP server under 2K & XP. Both
os's will also implement DHCP when using ICS.
