i had the above problem and nothing helped. Not even McAfee stinger and Trend
sysclean but it didn't help.
i just want to let the interested one's know that problem solved.
i installed Sygate firewall and denied the access of the Generic Host
Process to the internet. 2 days past with no problem.
Anyone with this problem try this solution.
greets, Mike.

You have only put a bandage on the problem. You still have something
that is using svchost to try and get out. At least run Ad-aware and
Spybot Search & Destroy to see if you have non-viral malware. Make sure
to update these programs first. You can get both (free) at
www.majorgeeks.com.

From your post, it is unclear whether or not you have a full-featured
antivirus installed on your computer. If you don't, you need to get one
ASAP, install it, update it, and do a complete scan in Safe Mode.
Stinger and Sysclean are excellent tools, but they are *first-line*
tools, not meant as a substitute for a full-featured av.
