HDTV overscanning

I am currently using a Radeon 9600xt with the ATI dongle to produce
component video output to my Hitachi HDTV.

I have managed to minimize overscanning by using the optimized 720 setting
in the Catalyst 4.7 driver. This produces a reasonably good image of the
windows desktop and most practical applications.

The problem occurs when I run gaming applications (such as Battlefield
1942) where the active window blossoms to an almost unusable size. Changing
the resolution within windows has no effect. Changing the resolution within
the application itself does not help either!!

Anyone else gaming with HDTV that has solved this problem?

Thanks.

This is game command or in the game config file. Look for setups online.
There are lots of resources for that on the popular search engines.

There is ini config with most games to set the scanning and the resolution
to fit the screen . If there is no option in the game itself its can be
found under ini there u can edit what u need to make it work.
