TV out black and white only

Hi,

I'm sending TV out from my ATI Radeon 9800 XT and only getting a black and
white picture on the TV. I've checked the display settings for my TV and
they are:

Composite Sharpness: Standard
S-Video Sharpness: Standard
Dot Crawl: Standard

Format: UK/PAL-I

I'm in the UK and so that's correct for my TV, although I've also tried NTSC
(which I know my TV is capable of) and that's also still black and white.

I believe that all other settings are default.

Any ideas?

you are using the s-video and your tv doesn't do it, make it use the phono
only
