Recently purchased laptop and D-link 650/624 system. Using Windows XP,
Dell. After several problems, got it working (manually entered IP
address).Desktop connects fine through gateway consistently. I took laptop
to coffee shop, so being paranoid I took wireless card out so it didn't
bend. Reinstalled at home, now cant connect with it. Can ping at 127.0.0.1,
nothing else. Signal says it comes on and off (mostly off-none). Manually
wrote old IP in, no luck, had automatically get DNS, no idea what that is
(not sure how to find...the other pc is windows 98 se). The Laptop does
connect via cable, but that defeats the whole purpose. I am positive it is
getting as a signal. I get a work offline/ try again grey box followed by
"the page cannot be displayed". If I choose "work offline, my homepage
(newspaper) is always updated.
I know I haven't, but it feels like I have lived in the Network Connection
section for the last few days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out one thing I didnt do was power down the router. I did that,
powered it up, and reestablished the wireless connect. Thanks for the
support!
