little problem with display changing...

hi!


when I was using 17" monitor with 1024x768 resolution i could change the
display into TV (640x480) without any problem. not when i bought a bigger
monitor I use 1280x960 res and there is a problem with changing into TV.
there are two possibilities:
1. I change from CRT (1280...) and TV starts in 1024x768 res and when
changing back to CRT it's 1280x960 like before

or

2. I change from CRT (1280...) and TV starts in 640x480 but when come back
to monitor it's 1024x768....

what's wrong? why can't I use it like I want to?
my video card is r9000pro on omegas drivers
