iPAQ5450 PPC2003
About every 15 minutes my iPAQ switches on and tries to download e-mail. I
have several e-mail accounts configured but none of them is set to do
automatic mail checks. I have double checked the settings. No account is set
for automatic mail checks.
To try and stop this I deleted all my dial-up connections. Now it switches
on and complains "Unable to connect: no modem entries created, and no
network card present"
Luckily it normally fails to connect due to:
Password required nearly every time it switches on (even though it is set to
request a password only eafter 24 hours!)
A lucky glitch?
When on the cradle it checks my email whether I like it or not!

Can anyone help?

Go to ActiveSync on PDA -> Options -> uncheck "Use mobile schedule..."
Maybe this will help.

In the options in activesync on the PDA, is the "use mobile schedule"
checked? This causes my 5555 to try to connect sometimes when I don't
want / need it to.

I have unchecked "use mobile schedule" but it does not help. And it's not
just trying to sync with my PC, it is attempting to send and receive e-mail.

Under tthat same page in activesync on the ppc make sure the option "sync
outgoing items as they are sent" is unchecked and iv you have added another
e-mail account to pocket outlook make sure it's not set to check for new
mail every x minutes.
