I recently set up a home networking system with a XP desktop as the base station, a MS 54mbps wireless router and a XP laptop running wireless g. Connection shows excellent initially, then only sustains for about 5 minutes tops. This was happening with desktop in club basement and laptop one floor above. I brought the laptop downstairs and tried to operate from about 10 feet away and the same loss of connection occurred.

Help please! We only got the laptop to use as a wireless and will need to return it if we cannot solve issue.
