I now have 2 printers- a DJ5550 printer for photos and a b/w laser printer. I have 2 usb ports on my comp, 1 is being used by my mouse and the other I want to keep open. I saw a switch that allows u to hook up 2 parallel devices to 1 comp: <A HREF="http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=1554&pcount=&Product_Id=13189" target="_new">click here</A>. However, that's a tad expensive, and I was wondering if there are cheaper. Also, didn't find it on newegg...am I just not looking in the right place in newegg?

Get a USB expansion card/hub! It's cheaper, will give you 4/6 USB ports, which is much more usefull.

For that, does it hook into a USB port and then I have 6? If so how well does it fair in terms of bandwith?

I'm not sure about the hub. I have a PCI 6 port USB expansion card, and have no problems with flash drives, ADSL modem, mouse, MP3 player etc.
