Red line on right side of monitor

Hello,
I have a thin red line of the side of my monitor. How do I get rid of it. It is annoying.

What is the make and model of the monitor.

Is the red line present even before Windows starts to boot? If it is then the monitor is defective. If it's still under warranty contact the manufacturer and have it replaced.

I'm afraid that's almost certainly a hardware fault in the monitor. If it's within warranty you should get it replaced, otherwise ask a computer repair shop what it would cost to repair it. Depending upon the monitor it may just be cheaper to buy a new one.
