Lower level folders are not inheriting File Sharing settings from Top-Level
Parent Folder, My Documents. I have XP Pro, SP1. I have Simple File Sharing
Turned on. I have set My Documents to "Share this folder on the network".
I have checked "Allow network users to change my files". On the General tab,
I have unchecked "Read-only", then in the following window, I have selected
"Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files". When I refresh the My
Documents window, I do NOT see the little sharing hand on all my folders,
just on the same folders which I had tediously set previously, folder by
folder. What AM I missing here? I don't want to drag all the folders in My
Documents over to the Shared Documents folder. Even when I do so, the files
are not shared, even if I use the same procedure enumerated above. The MS KB
talks about levels 1 through 5 of sharing, and I cannot find this setting.
