When mapping drives from an XP Pro pc to an XP Home notebook, I don't know
how to make the connection permanent. How do I change it so that I don't
have to enter a password each time I wish to use the mapped drive? Thanks.

Make a user account/password on the XP Pro box that is identical to the
one on the XP Home notebook. Then when the notebook user requests
resources from the desktop, XP Pro will authenticate this user and
recognize the right to access the resource.

I've done that with my built-in administrator accounts. In my house I've
setup all pcs on the network the same, did not change the name of the
administrator account, and gave it the same password on all pcs. Do I have
to set up an additional user on the pc to match the one on the notebook?
Thanks.
