I've just noticed that there have been a lot more posts in here lately. It's good to see. Keep it up guys.

Oh, on a sidenote, I'm just curious as to what everone's linux desktop/gtk/gnome/kde/xwindows setup looks like. It's so configurable and I'm curious as to what people have set up. I'll post a screenie of mine tomorrow probably. Hope you all will do the same.

For Network Services, Work Related Stuff, Programming, General Kernel hacking, etc...:

OS: FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE w/ Linux Binary Compat.

For Gaming:
AMD 700Mhz Irongate (non T-Bird) / 256 PC-100 / IBM 7200 20GB
GeForce 256 32 SDR
OS: Windoze 98 SE
GUI: LOL ;-)

This box will no longer have Win98 SE on it as soon as the gaming industry supports Linux w/ Open GL better. I would like to see a GPL 3-D API that would actively compete with DirectX, or better Open GL development.

OS: SuSE Linux Pro 7.1 (Kernel 2.4)/Windows 2000/Windows ME
Sound: Creative Labs Soundblaster Live!
CD: HP cd-writer 9100
HD: 2 40 gig Western Digital hard drives
Linux GUI: KDE

I do everything that I possibly can in Linux and everything else in Win2k; and ME is used only for gamming. Since I don't like the frame rates in 2000 and Linux doesn't have full support yet for OpenGL and graphics acceleration.

Bloody geocities... Oh well, we'll see if it works in a minute.

Anyways, I'm running XFree 4.0.3 with Gnome and Enlightenment. All of my themes are along the blueheart line (gtk, e, xmms, gkrellm etc).
I've got XMMS with the bumpscope plugin, gkrellm, the GIMP, and Netscape running.
