Address history

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin (More info?)

I can`t seem t be able to delete previously visited addresses.
I have tried the usual - going to internet options and deleting the history
etc. But nothing seems to happen - the old addresses remain.

Hi.
Try this...
Open internet explorer, select tools, internet options then click on
the content tab. Half way down there is a box "Autocomplete", click
this & clear the check boxes at the top (this stops windows remembering
anything you type in the address bar & search engine bar). Also click on
"Clear forms" & "Clear Passwords" to remove any stored entries.
