I have a software program that requires a local configuration be made, but I
do not want to go around to 100 stations if this can be done in group policy.

I was told to run 'dcomcnfg' and click on 'component services' and then
double click on 'computer'. I will see a my computer icon. Right click and
go to properties and then 'default properites'. check enable distributed COM
.. Then go to default protocols and hightlight TCP/IP and click properties
and add port= 5000.

I looked through my group policy settings and didn't see anything that
resembled these instructions.
Thanks,
