which video card is better, the 9200 or the 9550?

logic says that the 9550 is better but i understand it is a card
of an older generation.

thanks in advance.

The straight 9200 card is a 128bit DX8.1 card with AGP8X support. 250 core,
200 memory.
The 9550 card is a 128bit DX9 card with AGP8X support, 250 core, 200 memory.
It uses the same RV350 core as the 9600 series. Of the two, the 9550 is
preferable due to it's DX9 support, but be aware it's a marginal card for
most newer DX9 games. There's only one 9550, but there's 3 types of
9200...the 9200SE (very slow, 64 bit), the straight 9200 (specs above) and
the 9200 Pro (faster DX8.1 card 300/300).

My suggestion would be neither of these two.9600 is running low on price
these day and it's a much better buy than a 9200 or 9550.
