Offline Files

I am rolling out 6 or 8 new Windows XP clients to a small site which uses
roaming profiles. One particular user when she logs on finds that her My
Documents folder which points to a folder on a network share has been made
available offline. She didn't enable this and I can't switch it off as the
'Make Available Offline' is selected but greyed out. I have tried using the
'Delete Files' option on the 'Offline Files' tab of the 'Folder Options'
diaglog. This successfully deletes the files. When the user logs in again,
the files are available offline again. I have even tried this after disabled
Caching on the partciluar share on the server, but the files are still
available offline on the next login, only then you can't even see the greyed
out 'Make Available Offline'. This is a real head scratcher. Does anyone
have any idea what might be causing this.

Thanks,

Rage.

I've just discovered the answer to my problem. I'm Putting it here for
anyone else who might have a similar issue. Basically, Windows XP tried to
be clever and automatically uses offline caching for redirected shell folders
like 'My Documents'. The only way to prevent that is to use a Group Policy.
