My IPAQ 2215 will lose its calibration once in a while. I'll turn it on and
be able to hit the upper part of the screen with no problem, like the START
button and the time, etc.

But, anything below that is totally off calibration. If I tap the very
bottom of the screen, the arrow will tap the middle of it. Doing a soft
reset doesn't fix it. However, it seems to correct itself after a few hours.

This doesn't happen often, but when it does, it is annoying and
inconvenient.

Anyone have this same problem? And more important, any ideas on the
solution?

Just guessing here. Based on your description it sounds like might be a
hardware digitizer problem. I suggest calling HP tech support since the 2215
is still in its warranty period.

There are 2 ways to set the screen. One via the Diagnostic Toolkit under
programs. The other under Start,Settings,Screen.

I have noticed that the use of the Diagnostic Toolkit settings does not
always hold the settings.

Diagnostic Toolkit is replaced by Self Test after upgrading to v1.10 rom
firmware.
