I just received a recently built computer running Win 7 32Bit OS. I'm considering upgrading to 64Bit and would appreciate any advice concerning install, formatting drives first & drivers.

The specs on the machine is:

- ASUS Crosshair III Formula AM3 AMD 790FX ATX MOBO
- AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black CPU
- 2x2GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Memory w plans to upgrade to 8GB
- Intel X25-M 2.5" 80GB SSD
- WD 500GB Drive (virtually clean now)
- BFG Tech GeForce250 Graphics Card

Thanks

You can't "upgrade" from 32- to 64-bit, you'll have to reinstall. There's really not much to worry about, my biggest piece of advice would be to remove the hard drive from the system before you install Windows on the SSD. If the install program sees free space on another drive it will put the 100MB boot partition on that drive, and most people generally prefer the OS drive to be the boot drive.
