Hey FOLKS,

Recently bought Logitech's Internet Navigator keyboard and Optical mouse. Loaded the software first(the most recent version, of course), as suggested, then shutdown and plugged in the new devices. When I booted back up, an error came up saying "no keyboard or error on the keyboard"? this happens for both of the devices, both are PS2(this is what I'm using via an adapter) or USB. I tried it multiple times but to no avail. Haven't tried using my USB ports, but I really don't want to tie those up if I can make the PS2 ports work. And haven't looked at the device manager or BIOS settings. When I plug the OLD keyboard and mouse, it works fine. It just can't seem to detect the new devices? I wish I was a techie!!! TIA

Have you tried reading the Support Files for your new devices?

Logitech recommends that you add one at a time, thirty minutes apart.

You did try and synchronize the devices, didn't you?

And DON'T use the latest Mouseware drivers on the Website. They are a buggy mess. Believe me, I've fought with the new drivers on several occasions, and finally gave up in disgust ... bad synchronization errors. Stick with the v9.27 drivers that came with the devices on the CD. If you installed the newest drivers ... get them out of your system, and start over from scratch. Pay attention to the driver dates when installing, so you don't put the v9.29 drivers back in accidentally.

However, the latest iTouch keyboard software seems to be fine.

If for some reason you are running Win2k ... I'd stick with the default Microsoft drivers until Logitech figures out how to write a decent driver set for power users. You'll have almost all the functionality, anyway ... and no errors.

If you have a conflict, you should always look in the Device Manager and the BIOS to make sure that there are no conflicts, and that everything is operational. That's not being a "techie" ... that's just common sense. You are the only one who can see your desktop ... you'll have to make the call.

Have an interesting day ...
