Looking for a digital camera up to £250

If they buy a printer, it must have a slot for their memory card, or can
connect directlty to the camera. Preferbaly, it should be one that lets
them preview each picture and decide whether or not to print it.

A relatively low-cost option is the HP 7260.

Another is the Kodak Easy Share system, with a dock for the camera built
into the printer. You view the picture on the camera's LCD.

There are systems in some stores that let you put in a memory card, look at
the photos (and sometimes do some editing and cropping) and print. Less
investment in hardware.

I should also have said that if you're not comfortable about buying a camera
from someone on Ebay (although, like I said previously, Shutterblood is an
excellent trader) then look at somewhere like www.kelkoo.co.uk which will
search for prices from "real" shops.

By the time you picked the Optio S with all the research, the thing is
obsolete and not only the optio S4 has come and going but now the Optio S4i
is the current model with all kinds of new gadgets on it and imnproved
resolution.
