Nothing is guaranteed.
Based on the title of that site, problems will be attracted.
Most do not post when there are no problems so that large group is mostly
silent.
A well maintained computer is less likely to have problems.
Verifying SP-2 compatibility with your hardware and software in advance may
also eliminate suprises.

The SP2 warning was dated April 29, 2004.. just a little out of date.. many
have installed SP2 without problems since then..
