You could use the network Terminal Services which gives you a scrollable
viewport on the PC screen.

The PC screen is broken. I want to display on the PPC screen.

Hi Mike,

You could use VNC, if you can get the server running on your PC.

There are various VNC clients for the PPC, including ours -
PTvncGPRS which works on PPCs or PPC phones - you
can view and control your PC on your PPC either in the cradle
using Activesync, or using a WiFi or Bluetooth connection
or even completely remotely via GPRS on a PPC phone.

PTvncGPRS is avaliable from Handango or PocketGear

Thanks for the info. I downloaded and installed your trial product. I keep
getting an error when I try to connect my PPC to my PC over ActiveSync:
"Pocket PC error" "Authentication refused. Connection failed."

My bad explanation.

You could use the network Terminal Services which gives you a scrollable
viewport of the PC screen on the PPC screen. WinVNC will do the same job
also.

How do I set this up? Does Terminal Services come with Windows XP? (the
laptop has Windows XP)

Yes but they call it remote desktop

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/remotedesktop/

Although it would be easier to attach an external monitor to the laptop,
most have a vga connection.

It comes with the server versions of 2000 and XP and the client viewer
comes free with PocketPC 2003.

I can only ever get VNC working on my PPC with its WiFi.

Here's a fully functional free version of VNC:

Looks like Remote Desktop is only in XP Pro. I have Home.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/gomo...

The solution is for our sales guy who is alway on the road so that's why I'd
like him to be able to view his screen on his PPC instead of a big monitor.
