Hi,

I want to use a standard screen + an LCD TV
the standard will be connected through VGA connector (1024*768)
while LCD TV through DVI connector (1900*1080)

there is a card which support this?

My TV support 1080i and 720p, so I want to display DVD read from my PC with
the higher quality available.

When I compare the ATI 9800 and the X800, the line about the Dual monitor
display result are: yes (9800) and DVI-I/VGA (X800)
what I have to understand???

thanks for your help.

Jerome.

I am using an ATi FireGL Z1 and it supports two different resolutions.

well... workstation product...
the spec describe that this card is based on an ATI 9800XT chipset...

when I read the spec of the ATI cards, near all cards support dual display,
but in fact I can't configure my system correctly to support 2 resolutions
and 2 refresh rates.

My current card (ATI 9200SE) is describe like this (extract of the ATI spec
web site)
"Dual integrated display controllers to drive two displays simultaneously
with independent resolutions and refresh rates "

my system is a Windows Media Center 2005 edition, so I've installed the MCE
drivers and not the standard XP/radeon drivers, do you think its the
problem?

Dont have a specific yes or no for you but my 9800Pro is currently
running a 17" LCD monitor at 1280x1024 75hz (native) and a projector at
1024x768 85hz. Works fine. Shaun

hmm just a guess, but usually in the display properties "settings" tab
there are 2 driver sets listed, as well as the 2 graphics of monitors
click the secondary monitor which changes the dropdown blow to the
secondary driver set. then go into advanced settings and fiddle with your
secondary choices.

unfortunalty I've some problems...
sometimes the resolution is fixed and I can't change it (848*400)
sometimes I can change it, but when I apply, the previous resolution come
back
or I see my standard screen as the monitor, but with the capabilities of the
LCD TV!

for the moment I've a temporary solution:
when I want to view movies (or I want to use the LCD TV) I activate an
option called "force 720p" or "force 1080i" (to force the activation of the
HDTV support)

but this option impact the 2 screens.
