hi there,
I recently changed my regonal settings from US to UK on my pocket PC.
however, when doing this my today screen failed to show "wednesday 28 april
2004", and instead showed "28 april 2004".
I would like the day to show on the agenda view on the today screen, but the
option to set 'dddd' in the regional settings instead of "dd" is not
available.
any help? is there a file I can edit to allow the days to show as "dddd dd
mmm yy"?

that is some cross posting. It's not needed and not giving much thought to
other users.

registry wrt the date format very recently.

Using a Registry Editor such as PHM RegEdit
(http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/)
- Go to \HKLM\nls\overrides
- select SLDte (add "new string value" if not exist)
- change the value data to dddd, d MMMM yyyy
- soft reset the device
Usual caveats apply - be careful when editing the Registry,
make a Backup prior to..., don't blame me etc.

The available options for the long date format are set by the locale and
this format is not standard for this locale. It is consistent with Windows
XP. However, Windows XP allows you to edit this string even if it is not
standard for the locale. Unfortunately PPC does not allow you to vary from
the standard settings. Sorry.

It is bad practice to cross-post. It increases traffic unnecessarily.
