WPA-PSK field in router configuration accepts 64
characters,
but the network key in the wireless network properties
box only accepts 23 characters.
Am I missing something here?

Sony Z1, XP-Pro, Linksys WRT54G.

Hi,
Does your wireless adapter support WPA? If not, you are only able to specify
WEP Key which is 26 characters long the maximum.

thx
