Hallo.
I used to operate the Radeon 9200 graphics adapter on a ASUS A7V600
motherboard with Windows XP. I never had problems with this configuration.
Due to a defect, I had to exchange the motherboard - the A7V600 was no more
available, so I switched over to a ASUS A7V880. Windows XP was NOT
re-installed. Everything works fine, exept the graphics adapter.

I downloaded the driver for the Radeon 9200 from the ATI web site. During
the installation, no error message occurred, and after installation no error
occurred in the device manager. After restart however, the following error
message was shown:
"The ATI system could not be installed because no ATI driver was installed
or the driver is not working." (the exact English message may be a little
different, as I am using a German version of Windows XP)
If I switch to the device manager, the Radeon 9200 is marked with a yellow
exclamation mark, and the error message says: "The device cannot be started
(Code 10)".
De-installation and a following re-installation of the driver brought the
same result.
Does anybody know this problem?
Michael

Try going into the bios and make sure there is a setting that "assigns a IRQ
to vga adapter" marked somewhere.

I checked the BIOS. There is an IRQ assigned to the VGA adapter.
