X800 Pro VIVO capture problems

Hey everyone,

I've just bought a (horribly expensive) brand new X800 Pro w/ VIVO with
the idea of capturing old home movies to DVD.

The card and drivers installed fine, and I can get some form of TV
input from my VCR (in DScaler or VirtualDub), but it loops 2-3 seconds
of video constantly, or when it does play, there is noticeable slowdown
when there is a lot of movement on screen.

The ATi MMC wants nothing to do with my card either which is a pain in
the backside.

I've tried a fresh reinstall of my OS, latest catalysts and WDM drivers
and MMC but I've yet to have any joy.
I'd be most appreciative if someone can offer a hand.
