Hi guys!
I was an happy owner of a Sapphire 9700 until my previous PC died and
fried the brand new video card (sigh, only 3 months old).
Lucky enough I got the video card replaced with a 9800 SE.
After 2 weeks of normal use connected to a Viewsonic VX500 (using DVI as
always) suddendly one day the screen turned black and the light of the
monitor was orange.
I suppose because there was no signal reaching the monitor anymore, right?
The only way to use the graphic card is to use the VGA input rather than
DVI now.
It's some time that I'm using the GeForce 5200 that came with the PC
(yuk) and now I would like to go back to my ATI.
What could be the problem with DVI?
Faulty DVI output of the video card?
Buggy driver?
