The AGP video card itself has several components with ATI written on them
(fan, ATI Bridge,
and ATI Rage Theater). There is one large metal covered chip (I guess)
that has AIW 8500DV 64M DDR written on it. I have searched all references
and can't find the right driver.

The connections on the card are Firewall, VID I/O (about 1/2 inch
square with beveled bottom corner), DVI out, and a CATV co-axial
connector (male).

I see no FCC ID number on it. There is a
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY that says
"We, the responsible party, ATI Research, inc., 4mount Royal Ave.,
Marlborough, Ma 01752-1978, (508) 303-3900 declare
that the product is in conformity with part 15 of the FCC rules."
There is the number N625 CE Complies with Canadian ICES-003, Class B. And
above that just a lone number
E117942, but no FCC ID number.

I'm trying to find the driver for it but so far, in checking spec's, I can't
find an ATI AGP card
with these connections

I checked to see if it were an 8500 Radeon but the connections don't match
what the specs show.

HELP please, Thanks, jenny

You have this card.
http://www.ati.com/products/radeon8500/aiwradeon8500dv/
The AIW 8500DV is a bit of a slug compared to other 8500's. The clock/mem
speeds are 230/190 respectively. On the full 8500AIW and regular 8500, they
are 275/275. Detailed specs can be found here
http://users.erols.com/chare/video.htm The correct driver is the current
Catalyst for any and all Radeons.

Hi Augustus, Thanks for the research but that is the problem. The spec's
from the link
you furnish describes a card with different connectors.
The specs for that card describe connectors as follows. (These are NOT the
connectors
that are on the card I have - see first post.)
Connectors
a.. DVI-I (15 pin VGA adaptor included)
b.. Stereo audio, S-video and composite video inputs and outputs
c.. External stereo connection to sound card's line input and output
d.. Dolby® digital stereo audio output (S/PDIF)
e.. Two external IEEE 1394/iLinkT/FireWire® ports*

Yes, you're right!!! I was confused by the references in the spec's but
they were generalized specs
I guess. After reading in detail, it is show for that card and it matches.
The problem was that the
driver wasn't working. Maybe the card died. I will test it in another
machine. Thanks again!!!

Most of those are on breakout box that attaches to that square connector.
If you don't have the breakout box you can get one from ATI for about 25
bucks IIRC.
