Hi,

I've had my oem Radeon 9600XT for about 3/4 months. Recently, I've started
to get pixilation breakup. The card is not and never has been over-clocked.
The tempreture within the case is easily within tolerance limits. I've
resolved the problem by updating the drivers / re-installing them. However,
its starting to get annoying now. There is no pattern to the problem.
Sometimes the machine can be switched off for days and the problem appears
at next start up, whereas other times it occurs with a reboot after a
Windows update, etc. Any ideas?

Blake

Check for proper fan speed and fan operation. If it's binding or obstructed
you can get this sort of thing. Hopefully that's all it is. Otherwise it's
RMA time.

Check windows update aren't putting their Radeon graphic drivers back in.
