After milling around on ATI's site, I couldn't find a resource that lists
the current draw of their various cards. Anyone know of such a resource?
Thx.

Thanks...although I don't know why manufacturers don't simply list this
information in their specs. It would eliminate an awful lot of: "Is my power
supply enough?" threads and provide useful information for system builders.
Aah, what do I know. :-)

Thanks again.

How about these companies try not to use so much power? And so much heat
they produce. [sighs]

The companies are giving the customers what they want, even when the
customers don't really know what's good for them.

All the talk about unlimited shader lengths, FP32 precision, high dynamic
range coloring, SM3.0... carry a heavy price in the form of high transistor
counts, high heat, and limited clock speeds. Today's graphics processor is
far more complex than any CPU, so it's a matter of perspective. That 24-pin
ATX power connector should be going directly to the video card, not to the
motherboard...

That article would've been an excellent reference...too bad it's missing the
graphic images depicting the test results. Argh. Thanks though.

It's not the only article missing the images. Looks like a problem with XBit
Labs' servers. Check back later. The power consumption article is pretty
illuminating.
