Anyone got any views on Blackberry vs PPC?

I am under pressure to move the company towards BBerry, but my personal view
is PPC (on either XDA2 or Ipaq and connect via BT phone). I need some
ammunition!

PPC advan:

Microsoft platform (develops with DC environment)
Multitasking
Decent browser capability
Screen real estate
Better synchronisation with Outlook (?): ie more fields than Bberry (I'm
assuming it is like Palm)

The iPAQ H6300 is supposed to have Blackberry connectivity as well. So you
could do both.
But I don't think any of us know what the blackberry software will be like
on the Pocket PCs yet.

The Blackberry is fine if all you need is to have access to your email,
contacts, calendar and tasks, with the main advantage of your emails being
pushed out to the device. The Blackberry is mostly favoured by company
directors and managers because everything is automatically synchronised,
however if you want a single device to support that can suite a wider range
of users then a Pocket PC is definitely the way forward. The main drawback
of the blackberry's push technology is that if you can not get a GPRS
connection you will not receive emails. This can cause a backlog of emails
on the server, and when a signal is available can take hours for the device
to synchronise.

Also RIM are now licensing their technology to other manufacturers so we
will see this push technology on PALM and Pocket PC's very soon.

Hope this helps.
