We tried to disable floppy scanning and even placing the A: drive in the
exclude list. That did not work. The floppy seek still happens even if you
disable real-time protection, but goes away when you uninstall version 10.
Our network is pretty flat so I cannot help you with the subnet installation
issue. Sorry - Paul.
