ok heres photos from my cool as tramping trip. the photos don't do it justice, but damn they still rule (IMO)

here is the linky to my 2 pages of images.

and the best ones (well the ones that are the best and in focus) are also in 2048x1536 at 95% quality.

but here is the small sized ones gallery.
http://doug.mud-puddle.co.nz/gallery/tramp

the first one in that is a link to the uncompressed gallery.

i don't expect any of you guys to be nature lovers/ people who like trees and stuff but if you do then just have a look.

best thing is all of this bush is 100% safe as there are NO
spiders of poisonous varietys
poisonous insects
bears
crocs
evil birds
snakes
lizards of poisonous varietys
frogs
NOTHING except cold and stupidity can kill you there.

so hey if anyone wants to come over for a tramp i'll go with ya ;)

i did 15 hours and many KM of walking in about 2 days worth

Looks good to me. I used to do a lot of hiking & backpacking myself. Don't do much of it any more though. You've got some nice scenery. Last time I did the rockies. I also took a 4 day white water raft down the Yampa river when it was the last undamed tributary left in the Colorado river system.

What the hell are you wearing? That striped suit, is it PJ's?

Ah yes the english language.
NZ = Tramp
Australia = Walk About At least that's what Crocodile Dun Dee called it
U. S. = Hiking or Backpacking.
Sounds like it's all the same thing, IMO

Looks just like Lynn valley/Garibaldi park north of Vancouver.
If you head due north, you won't cross a road for ~100km

The Pen is mightier than the Sword, but the Sword is better if you need back up.

I call my Jeep "The Tramp" because I want to take her tramping through the wood... I knew what it meant, but I am not too sure how many other people would have understood it before your explanation. Anyway, .

 I HATE NET NAZIS!!!

Looks like a great time was had by all. Nice one. Reminds me of my army days, tabbing through the Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, Snowdonia. Hard going, but a good laugh all the same. How heavy were those packs?

BTW, LOL, who's the guys flipping the bird in picture #6?! Quality!

yeah lots of people were asking me about tramping LOL, they were like "Hmmmm maybe people in america will get the wrong idea when reading your title"

in New Zealand a tramp means both of the things, e.g. going on a tramp is a bush walk, but a tramp is also a slut (well basicly)

we tend not to use the word tramp to mean slut as much as you guys in favour for words like, Skank.

but hey in america a tramp is someone that walks or is poor right? like a hobo, a bum, etc... and a tramp woman is just a lower class woman.

so in NZ going tramping is when you leave your home and go walking, just like a proper tramp in america would do all their life. so it does have the same meaning really.

but hiking is not used in NZ, its understood but is not used in favour of tramping LOL

I think that's pretty much universally accepted where I've been .

[laughs his ass off] I stand corrected. I got the basic gist of it, but needed further clarification! [laughs his ass off]

What we also say is, take a hike. That means get fvck out of here. Thus going out in the wilderness of this pristine country & having a ball. AKA hiking.

So take a hike!
