Guide Plus suddenly fails to update; symptoms are as follows:

After *apparently* loading data it comes up with "Error in program
listing updates"

After saying 'ok' it comes up with "Key violation"

After again saying 'ok' it comes up with "Please wait, updating favorite
program list..." during which drive is frequently referenced and CPU is
heavily used but program is apparently in a loop.

After closing the Guide Plus window attempts to open Guide Plus results
in the error "Access violation at address 049D10CD, read of address
049D10CD"

All of the above errors are in Guide Plus windows, not W2k OS.

In order to try updating TV schedule again, Guide Plus must be
uninstalled and reinstalled. This problem has been going on all day.
It was fine all day yesterday.

I have installed the program on another *NON* ATI system with the same
results which makes me thing the problem is Guide Plus'.

Anyone have any ideas, please?

Thanks,
Jack.

support.ati.com has some info about fixing corrupt databases in GuidePlus...
Try that.
