What does AGP fast write do? If I need to disable it, am I supposed to
disable both BIOS' and Catalyst driver's?

I disabled both locations, and I think my Windows is not blue screening
anymore in games like World of Warcraft. However, it is too early to
conclude this since I only tested for a couple hours witin the last two
days. In the past, I tried disabling only in driver, but that didn't
stop my blue screens during gaming (usually happen an hour or more).

Thank you in advance.

Disable in the low-level BIOS, and the high-level O/S can't use it
anyway!

It will try to load unless the BIOS [ low ] is switched off.

Unless your running a 9600 or using an A64 system disable - it causes
instability and other than the 9600 the Radeons don't use it anyway!

Thanks for the quick response. I use an Athlon 64 and ATI Radeon 9800
Pro AIW (128 MB) in Windows XP Professional SP2 (all updates). Also,
ASUS A7V333 (VIA chipset).

Oops, I meant to say ASUS K8V SE motherboard (VIA chipset as well). I
got confused with the other motherboard. ;)

Leave it switched off at both BIOS and O/S level the Smartgart should
re-test for stability and the same smartgart box will show you your
settings.

Leave it that way for a day or so to see if your instability
disappears.

I had both disabled and played World of Warcraft for four hours total in
one day (2 hours each with a break). Then, I got a blue screen. I guess
it wasn't Fast Write. I re-enabled this feature. Trying other ideas...
