ATI's HDTV Adapter

I know the website says it only works on RADEON® 9800, RADEON® 9700, RADEON®
9600, RADEON® 9500, RADEON® 8500 Series, or ALL-IN-WONDER® 9800* /9700* /
9600 / 8500 / 8500DV family of mulitimedia cards.

BUT has anyone tried it with any of their other 'older' cards? Will it work
on an old Radeon VE (i.e. 7000). I'm looking for a super cheap Component
out solution and thought this might be the ticket...
