Coolpix 5700 seems to be a great camera with 5 Megapixels and 8x optical
zoom. It also seems to be a bargain with $150 mail-in rebate.
The online reviews point out three problems with the camera:
1. Complex system with a long learning curve. This doesn't bother me
2. Low battery life. What kind of additional battery one need to buy?
3. Poor focusing. Some reviews complain about unfocused images while using
LCD monitor. There are several complaints about very slow auto-focusing in
low light conditions. Are they serious problems? If so, could they be
resolved using viewfinder and manual focusing in low light conditions?
