Hi,

Using XPPro I'm trying to change the IE security level for each
zone (Internet, intranet, etc) without success. Everytime I set a level
below "high" in Internet, XP shows me a warning message and goes back
to high. For some reason, other coworkers have the "medium" level by
default, instead of 'high'. Do you know why this could be happening ?

Looking for help, I was able to find some posts suggesting to
change the Zones in the register for a '10000' value to be able to
change the zone security level. They didn't work. Do you know any
alternative way to be able again to select the security level?

On the other hand, in the 'restricted sites' (I'm translating the
names back to english from Spanish, so they might not be exactly the
same as in the english version of WinXP) I have a huge list of places
that I *never* inserted. Again, I'm unable to delete them. Each time I
delete one and click the 'Ok' button, it reappears the next time in the
list. Is there any way to delete them? Is any Windows update
responsible to have inserted them there?

Any help or comment would be great here.

Best regards,

- Leny

It sounds like the restrictions are coming from Group Policy settings.
If you are in an office situation with a domain, check with your IT
Dept. They are the ones who set up Group Policy.
