When I start my computer I get a message that windows cannot find nail.exe.
This file was identified as a virus and deleted. How do I find out what
program is trying to open nail.exe so I can delete it?

Execute; MSCONFIG.EXE

Sounds like a program set to run at start up....

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Autoruns.html should find it.
