Hi.
Is there any difference between retail boxed and OEM boxed cards with regard
to the capabilities of the card itself? I'm not concerned as to whether the
retail box contains leads and adaptors etc.

There's no difference in performance, but you need to make sure the full
details are described in the listing. You only have yourself to blame
if no performance details are stated, and you end up with a cut down
card with half the expected memory interface.
OEM cards vary with the extras you get. Some have driver disks, some
have TV-out or VIVO leads, and some have DVI-to-VGA adapters. It is
usually stated what is included with the card, so if it says nothing
then you will probably get nothing more than the bare card.
You also need to be aware of any warranty differences between OEM and
retail, as you are lucky to get more than 1 year with an OEM card.

And to watch out for "SE" cards and avoid them if possible.
