Hi, I have a philips freeline LS1000 running win XP SP2 with 512mb ddr
ram, 200gb hard drive and a wireless internet connection. My ggraphics
card is a ATI X300SE card with 128mb. Everything was alright until
about 2 mths ago but now I find that whenever i play any games, ie
football manager 2005, Battle for Middle earth, Far Cry and MU online
my computer will totally freeze and I have to turn it off then re-boot.

Could a heat issue cause this or is it a memory thing? It's strange as
this has only happened in the last 2 months or so.

Hope someone can help as I'm getting fed up with this.....

Regards..

Yes it could be heat. See if the power supply fan, video card fan and CPU
fan are spinning. Blow dust out of heat sinks. Touch parts under load to
check for excessive heat. Be sure CPU heat sink is firmly touching CPU.

Could be RAM, power supply, mother board or video card in order of
probability. Keep replacing parts until fixed.
