help pease settig path to save recordings in ATI;s mmC

lost most control of my fingers so pleaqe bear with me, it hurts like hell 2
type.

I have an ATI9700 pro works great except that sincI've updated the software
to the latest version (and even tried going back ) Whe Trying to record a
movie if I select any other path than one containging C: the recoder will
not start recoding (manual or automatic) . I Use to save my recordings to
any other partitio then C: doing that now the recorder refuses to start
please help. I even dropped back to earlier versions of mmc to no avail.
all my recordings have 2 be saved to the C: dir.. is there registry settings
i can use to force recordings to another partition?
