Display HDTV on computer monitor?

I would like to take the HDTV signal from the output (component or
s-video) of my digital cable box and display it on my computer monitor.
Does the ATI All-In-Wonder 9600Pro support this?

If no: Is there another card that will work as described?
If yes: Can I record HDTV also? Wil it be full-res?

That video card is NOT HDTV capable.

There is no such thing as an S-video HDTV output. HD is either modulated,
DVI/HDMI, or component. If your cable box has QAM modulated output then
you can capture with an HD tuner board that supports QAM. If not then you
need either a component or DVI capture board, and those are pro equipment
that costs big bucks.

I'm sure they do the best they can. Good techs are hard to find, and
whoever you talked to probably was exceeding his authority to answer such a
question--first tier tech support people are in general _supposed_ to go
through their script and when they've finished it if the problem is not
resolved they are supposed to refer you to second tier.
